Marie-Andree Leblond
Marie-Andrée is a Quebec artist born in St.Jean-sur-Richelieu on June 6th 1978.
A visual art graduate from CEGEP du Vieux-Montréal and of Collège Salette’s illustration program, Marie-Andrée Leblond never really considered anything but an artist’s career. She taught herself drawing by the age of twelve and oil painting by the time she was fourteen.
As a teenager, she started taking part in local artistic events and her winning the ‘’Prix du Public’’ at Brossard’s ‘’Printemps Arts-Visuels’’ event led her to a spot with the Clarence-Gagnon gallery in Montreal.
From then on, Marie-Andrée Leblond’s work start taking a prominent place on the Quebec and Canadian art market. Her favourite themes, roosters, bulls, horses, flowers and nudes, rapidly find a fan base of art lovers who can’t get enough of her multi media – acrylics and ink – paintings that have an unmistakable signature all their own.
In 2009, she is chosen to be a part of a Quebec delegation at a major art event at the Caroussel du Louvres in Paris where her work garners the attention of European art lovers.
